As a postpartum maternal care specialist (doula), mentor and educator, it is my life’s work to enlighten and inspire both the mothers that I work with, my community and the wider world, as to the importance and significance of this special time. A time that is acknowledged and revered in almost every traditional culture. I feel that it is imperative that we care for, support, nourish and love our new mamas, giving them the time and space to learn to be the best mothers they can be, removed from stress and exhaustion. In this way, we can positively impact families, communities and the world.

Jojo Hogan is a leading postpartum maternal care specialist (doula), mentor and educator with over 20 years of experience in working with pregnant and new mothers. She has specialist training in infant sleep education, pregnancy and postnatal massage, reflexology, aromatherapy, yoga and cooking and is the founder of the international Slow Postpartum Movement™.
In 2005 she founded the Bella Mama Pregnancy Spa & Wellness Centre in Auckland, NZ and more recently has focused on supporting, mentoring and educating mothers, partners and maternity carers on the importance of honouring the postpartum ‘sacred window’.
Jojo has been privileged to train with leading international birth and postpartum experts and visionaries including Ibu Robin Lim, Michel Odent, Sarah Buckley, Debra Pascali-Bonaro, Angela Gallo, Julia Jones and Maha Al Musa.
